Sweet Green Tea With Lemongrass, Pineapple, and Barley
If you’ve ordered from this company before, you are well aware that their teas are bold and unique. Their sample packets give a fun description of what it tastes like and “feels like” and it’s always on pointe.
As with their other flavors I’ve tried, I’m super impressed. The aroma from this tea “feels like” I just walked into a bakery or a fancy pastry shop. Essence of lemon bars, pineapple upside down cake, and fresh buttercream frosting make you wish you could take a bite.
My first sip of my hot brew hit me with citrusy herbal lemongrass. The caramel and barley flavors stood out more and more as it cooled down which made for a great finish.
I love the buttery, creaminess of a good green tea which, in this blend, didn’t stand out as much as the other flavors. The rest of the ingredients kept my tastebuds busy enough to not be bothered by that.
It doesn’t pack the punch that I require to get moving first thing in the morning, but this is easily an all day sip for me. I’ve tried it over ice and it is equally amazing.
Instructions are to steep one tablespoon for 5 minutes at 175°. I went 7 minutes which was perfect for my taste preference.
