Mint Honeysuckle Premium Herbal Tea
Anytime I think of instant tea, I automatically think of the jars of freeze dried tea "crystals" with a little sugar mixed in...you know the one. Not that I have anything against instant tea, I just prefer to steep tea leaves and herbs myself.
Well, let me tell you about this amazing INSTANT TEA! Cusa Tea is an instant tea that comes in individual stick packets that you add to hot or cold water then, stir and enjoy. I was super excited to try one of the samples that I had so, I chose the Immune Boost because the ingredients caught my interest.
I poured the powder into my mug and what I noticed was that it was very fine ground and smooth, almost like a matcha powder, not the gritty "crystals" you find in other instant teas or stick packet drinks. Off to the KCup machine for some hot water!
The aroma from my steaming cup was just as fragrant as a fresh steeped cup of tea. I could immediately smell the mint and a very light floral note. I'm not one to go for a mint tea or anything licorice flavored, but this was almost a sweet minty flavor and it blended nicely with the light sweetness from licorice. Other than picking honeysuckle off the vine and slurping the ends, I'm not sure I have ever consumed it. I could just detect the slightest hint of the floral fragrance and flavor that I believe to be the honeysuckle. The blend of ingredients in this tea are very well rounded and they compliment each other really well.
I initially tried it hot, as I always do with teas that are new to me. It was perfectly enjoyable all by itself, but of course, I had to play around with it a bit. I dropped in a little squeeze of agave and the sweetness from that really made each individual flavor stand out even more. About halfway through, I poured the rest in a little cup with ice. Totally refreshing! This could easily be an all day iced tea.
Don't let the "instant" fool you. This honestly tasted no different than brewing a tea bag or loose tea. I'm super impressed with my first serving and I'm excited to try the Deep Doze this evening. And, I learned a few things about the ingredients and their benefits in this particular tea.
