I have a new addiction. Friends, this is one of the most amazing blends for iced tea that I've experienced in a while.
I will try every single tea hot before I try it iced. Guaranteed, florals and fruity teas will end up over ice, at least in my cup. For me, hibiscus is an automatic iced tea; alone or blended.
Integritea has crafted such a perfect blend for their Hibiscus Iced Tea, I don't know that I'll ever want any other hibiscus tea. Ever.
This blend has some of my favorite components that are perfect in so many teas. Everything about it is so refreshing and the balance of the flavors is perfect. Orange peel is a versatile additive: the citrus is great in summer iced teas and compliments many fall flavors, as well. If you're not familiar with lemon myrtle, you'll want to check it out: it has powerful antioxidants to ward off illness, it can aid with digestion, and is a natural antimicrobial. The flavor? Bright, clean, crisp and the aroma is so cheerful and awakening! The star of the show: hibiscus! Giving you all of the tartness that it is famous for and a deep red liqueur, hibiscus is not only super refreshing, it can aid in eliminating water retention, it's loaded in antioxidants, and is rumored to help lower blood pressure and promote a healthy liver. Finally, everyone's favorite spice, cinnamon! And, it's just enough to taste it without being
overpowering (and it's got plenty of health benefits, too).
Enough with all the healthy stuff. That's just a bonus for this tea because I'm all about the flavor. To make this an even better tea (if that's possible) it comes in pre-measured sachets that make a 2-quart pitcher, all packed
into a resealable pouch. SO EASY!
I followed the directions for steeping and it came out perfect. Of course, it's SUPER tart from the hibiscus. Delicious, obviously, but I like it a little sweeter. I only added one packet of splenda to my very large tumbler and
it cut the tartness just enough for my taste. Also, I may have consumed an entire pitcher in one day.
Trust me when I tell you, if you love hibiscus tea, you're gonna want to try this one. It just might be your new favorite summer sip (or any time of year)!
Check out their site. Buy this tea. You're welcome.
