Kiaya's AnxieTEA by G.Y.M. Wellness

My evening cuppa is one of my most anticipated events of any day. Just about any hot, herbal blend relaxes me and melts away the day. When I saw this "stress and anxiety aid" from G.Y.M. Wellness, my interest was piqued...and maybe I was a bit skeptical. I mean, does it really help with stress and anxiety?


So, I decided to try this tea, off and on, over the course of a couple weeks. I can honestly tell you that I notice a difference in my level of relaxation and the amount of time it takes me to fall asleep on the nights that I drink this brew.


So, what makes it so magical? Well, aside from a list of relaxing herbs like lemon balm, vervain, and St. John's-wort, it includes the powerful kava kava. Kava kava is widely known for its calming effects. It helps with sleep, stress, and can give you a euphoric feeling. Some say it the effects are similar to alcohol. Well, bottoms up to that!


As far as flavor: it's definitely super herby-earthy and a little bitter. The longer you steep (minimum 10 minutes), the more bitter it gets. If you've read my other reviews, you know I love the bitterness with just a squeeze of agave. So, sweeten to your liking!


Honestly y'all, if you're looking for an herbal blend to really take the edge off, chill you out, and set you up for a peaceful slumber, give this one a try. I might be adding this one as a more permanent selection in my tea stash!
