This is a very bold lemon blend! A love for lemon is almost a requirement for this tea. It contains lemongrass and lemon preserves blended with rooibos (red tea) and it's different from any lemon blend I've ever experienced.
The aroma when you open the bag lets you know right away that it is full of bold flavor. I have to admit, it took me a couple of times to get the flavor brewed to my liking. My first brew, of course, was hot and it was very strong and a little too bitter for my taste. So, I let it cool and then poured over ice (slightly diluted) with a little sweetener. I didn't care for the flavor with the sweetener and it was still a tad bitter. What to do? I have to try everything...otherwise I feel like I've failed at my review!
Cold brew! I had just enough in my little bag to use for my cold brew bottle. Into the fridge it goes and twelve hours later: PERFECTION! You'd be very surprised at the difference between a hot brew and a cold brew.
It's getting a little chilly down here in Texas, but nothing keeps us from our iced tea. This was so refreshing and quenching. The lemon is very much "up front" and it makes for a happy glass of iced tea.
