Ceylon is probably my favorite black tea. It's a go-to when I can't make a decision in my overwhelming tea stash.
Summer Isle by Teakruthi is a Ceylon black tea infusion that is loaded with amazing fruits. Blended with hibiscus and rose hips, this beautiful amber brew whisks you away to a tropical escape with the first sip. One thing that stands out in this tea is the banana. Sometimes it's hard to tell if you're noticing a flavor or simply just the essence; in this case I think it's both. I can distinctly pick out the banana aroma and just a hint of mild banana flavor. It's a perfect balance to smooth out the bite of the black tea and the tartness of the fruits.
I love fun packaging on my teas since I like to use my empties in my journal. Teakruthi has packaging that tells a little story. There's a note to the "tea lover" (that's you!), a list of ingredients, a description of the tea and it's origin, and a little comic strip type drawing, all printed on craft paper and wrapped around the tea package. Super cute for journals and scrapbooks!
More to come as I work through my extra large shipment from Teakruthi. In the meantime, check out their website to see all of their beautiful teas and learn everything there is to know about Ceylon tea.
