THIS was the first thing I could smell when I opened my box from TEATAZE. What a magical aroma. And, it's not just blueberry aroma when I open the packet of sachets; there's a slight floral that comes through and a hint of mint.
I have to admit, blueberries aren't my thing and I'm not a lavender fan. HOWEVER (as I'm enjoying my SECOND cup of this blueberry blessing), this tea...this particular blend of those two ingredients...THIS I can do.
This tea has several components that I wouldn't "go for" individually, but together, this blend is blissful. The combination of blueberry, lavender, and mint brew up so well together. The aroma has a strong mint fragrance but it's not overpowering in flavor. Each flavor is noticeable individually and the mint seems to come through more as it cools. I usually taste my tea while it's hot and then I either pour over ice or I add a little almond milk and honey. Not this one! After my first sip, I was certain I wanted to finish it just the way I brewed it.
This is a green and white blend so, I leaned more to the longer steep time for white tea so I could get all of the goodness of the fruit as well (plus I like it extra strong). There are little bits of what I believe are apple in the mix too which may have added to the very slight sweet-"fruity-ness".
This tea is delicious and fairly priced at around $1 per cup. If you read my previous review of another TEATAZE product, you may have already browsed the website. If not, check it out. The quality of these teas is obvious...you won't be disappointed.
