The Tea Book has super fun artwork on their tea bag wrappers and the names of each tea are just as fun and quirky. These teas have bold flavors and I feel like that’s attributed to fruit powders that are used in the ingredients. Powders are more concentrated than the dried fruits which can give a whole lot more flavor. You still get some herbal goodness…just with a more powerful punch from the fruit.
Barry Berry Tea – Barack “Tisane” Obama: I nice blend of tart with a hint of cinnamon. Hibiscus and pomegranate give this brew a pretty, dark red color that brings the tartness. The orange peel and cinnamon rounded it out with their warm notes for a well balanced cup any time of day. I liked this one better with a squeeze of honey.
FredTea Mercury – Bohemian Raspberry: I mean, can you really go wrong with anything related to Freddie Mercury? I think not! Such a fun way to memorialize a musical icon, right? A berry blend with sweet rooibos and tart hibiscus. This was a great flavor while it was hot, but I let it cool completely and poured over ice. Even better!
Check out the other fun varieties that The Tea Book offers and while you’re over there, have a look at an actual TEA BOOK! This is a must have for those of us who have thousands of tea bags that need to be organized. Definitely in the top 5 on my “tea stuff” wish list. Stay tuned for reviews on a few of their other fun flavors!
