Oh my goodness! Y'all!
I tried a new thing and I am in love! Have you heard of sipping broth? Maybe you have and I'm just behind the times. Millie's Sipping Broth has steepable broth bags in a variety of flavors and so far...I'm impressed! This is the best thing since sliced bread...or canned soup! It's a tea bag...for soup! A SOUP SACHET! All of the herbs and vegetables are in a tea bag type package. You boil your water and throw in a sachet, just like steeping tea. Eight ounces of hot water, steep for five minutes, and VOILA!
I tried the Tomato Basil and the flavor was excellent. Of course, it's broth so, you're not going to have the thick, red tomato soup that you are probably accustomed to, but you will not be missing out on flavor. You will still get all the goodness of your homemade tomato soup and none of the preservatives that you would get in a canned soup.
There is a long list of what makes these little soup sachets so amazing and convenient for me. It's a great thing to have when I run out of food prep meals at the end of the week, perfect for dinner if you are dieting and went overboard at lunch, and I love any type of broth if I'm craving a salty snack. This broth is very low in sodium compared to other broths and soups, but there's just enough to satisfy my craving. If you check out their website, you'll see that these broths are very friendly with a variety of diets and eating plans. I can tell you this: I replaced my dinner with one cup of broth and I was plenty satisfied. These broths are extremely handy if you are doing intermittent fasting because you can sip during your fasting hours! Ingredients are natural, vegan, and gluten free which is a big bonus! I can't wait to get into my other flavors!
