Two Reviews! - Retro Leaf Tea Company

I don't know about other tea bloggers and collectors but, I love tea packaging as much as I love the tea itself. I put my empties in a junk journal and I periodically flip back through them like a kid with a picture book. Retro Leaf Tea Company has some super cool and funky names for their teas and attractive packaging to match. It reminds me of comic books and video games and superheroes! I was gifted two awesome teas from them so, let's get this party started!

Princess Peach: "princess" and bright pink lettering...sure to catch the eye of any "girly-girl", right? This tea is a game changer for white teas. Peach is a common thing to find blended with white tea leaves, but throw in some floral jasmine and fruity flavors and this white tea becomes bold! If you follow my blog, you know that floral isn't my thing, but this blend is so well balanced that the jasmine didn't bother me one bit! Light floral, sweet and tart fruit, and the crispness of a white tea that I love. If you are a white tea lover and you want something more from it, give this one a try. Follow my Instagram to get an update when I try this one over ice!

Creme City: It's possible that creme brulee is the most amazing dessert ever created. You can get it right in your afternoon cup with this tea. Creamy, sugary, vanilla bliss blended with Assam and Ceylon black teas. This tea is powerful! The combination of black teas pack a caffeinated punch that will get you over that afternoon slump with the added bonus of that lovely caramelized sugar that tops those fancy little desserts. As usual, I brewed it strong and believe it or not...I went a little TOO long (even for me)! However, a pinch of brown sugar and a splash of milk brought all of the flavors out even more and made an absolute perfect cup of tea. The aroma was reminiscent of that joyous moment when your spoon cracks through the sugary top crust of a fresh creme brulee. MMmmmm. Heavenly.

There's so many fun blends that I can't wait to get my hands on. Pop on over to Retro Leaf Tea Company and check it out for yourself.
